Best EV Lease & Finance Deals for June 2026 – After the $7,500 Tax Credit Ended

Best EV Lease & Finance Deals for June 2026 – After the $7,500 Tax Credit Ended

Best EV Lease & Finance Deals for June 2026 – After the $7,500 Tax Credit Ended

The EV deal has been following a strange path in the last few years. Initially, the lack of choice stunted consumer options and led to intermediate trading. Then they became incredible as the inventory expanded and the $7,500 tax credit "lease loophole" took root. Then last fall, the best deals disappeared.  The $7,500 tax credit for buying or leasing qualifying EVs was abolished at the end of September. Since then, automakers have been increasing their incentives to provide a degree of compensation for consumers.

But the extent to which automakers are improving incentives varies widely. Some automakers hold the line, offering the same deal as before, but effectively $7,500 more expensive. Others are still pushing hard to increase their share. To help you understand it, we include all automakers offering all incentives to electric vehicles or plug-in hybrids available in all new models.

Please note that transactions can vary significantly from region to region. Most prices here use the California zip code, so if you find a model near you to find better deals elsewhere (especially in states with their own incentives), it's a good idea to reach out to the dealer's website near you for the most accurate pricing. You must reach out to multiple retailers to get the best quote for particularly in your area.

But remember that the dealer does not offer the best deal on your first attempt. If you are unsure of your deal, visit the online car negotiation community or use car broker services and remember that you will never feel pressured to make a decision while you are at the dealer. We also recommend avoiding dealerships who refuse to discuss lease numbers by phone or email.

Best New EV Deals for June 2026

Even though the federal EV incentives have ended, the lease offers available are still pretty great. It seems as if most automakers have not dramatically increased leasing transactions in the short term.  Will these prices rise later in 2026? It is also unlikely that consumers will immediately pay more than $7,500 to lease the same car they may have leased just a few months ago, assuming the bank ate most of the $7,500 credits, as it is what controls the money factor, residual value, and related terms.

Nevertheless, there are still deals to be discovered, and some automakers like Polestar, Kia and Hyundai are increasing the ante with notable cash discounts. As a precaution, all of the following lease transactions are subject to dealer participation, paperwork fees, taxes, disposal fees, and potential wear and tear charges.

Remember that dealers are aiming to get their number by the end of the year. Therefore, now is the best time to reach out to multiple retailers and see what offers competitive rates.  That said, there may be additional incentives specific to a particular region or dealer (if your brand has a dealer). You must do your homework. Also, please note that used EVs are also available at reasonable prices. If you have a solid EV deal that we missed, please share it with us in the comments section. In the meantime, let us know what recent transactions you have taken advantage of and how they have worked.
